2017 'One Day in Melbourne' aimed to the 'forgotten Christian media' is on Saturday 3 June 10.30am at the Salvation Army Moonee Ponds. Last year's inaugural on-line media presentations applauded as "an astonishing and remarkable day" by the 50 mission agency representatives and bloggers.
This year's 'One Day in Melbourne' is again for mission publication editors, writers, designers, social media mavens, authors, bloggers, self-publishers—anyone in Christian media whose aim is to maximise the Gospel.
It's philosophy is to provide a top of-the-line presentation to the forgotten Christian media: Missionary/mission publication editors, bloggers, social media maverns, bloggers, and small Christian media.
The top of the line presenters give their time at no cost so as to ensure such mission agencies received a thorough concordant. Moreover the venue is close to Tullamarine Airport - Moonee Ponds Salvation Army (880 Mount Alexander Road) – as last year, people might fly in and fly our the same day – One Day in Melbourne.

Forgotten Christian media
The focus is on the forgotten Christian media, all those small publications – mostly on-line, not the major denominational publications who already have their audience and therefore many restrictions.
The sessions are designed to be interactive as they were last year. This was particularly important for mission publication editors, writers, designers, social media mavens, authors, bloggers, self-publishers.
John Sandeman and his Eternity team is bringing the morning session. John was with Fairfax for 30 years and envisioned an opportunity for a weekly Christian magazine housed by the Bible Society and it is now a heralded Christian fixture.

Cheryl McGrath is addressing mission publications, Cheryl is a communications professional and has a background in editing. She works as the Communications Coordinator at CMS Victoria. Cheryl is a columnist in Christian Today Australia and writes for the Press Service International young writer program with an editorial blog for their international young writers.

David Goodwin is addressing 'On-line Outreach'. He is the former Editor of The Salvation Army’s magazine, On Fire. He is part of the Salvation Arm,y media unit. He is a freelance writer, an internationally acclaimed science fiction author, and an unapologetic geek. David is a columnist for Christian Today Australia specialising as a sports writer, one of five with Press Service International.

John Lemmon is addressing Blogging in a Christian context. Dr Mark Tronson is a Baptist minister (retired) who served as the Australian cricket team chaplain for 17 years (2000 ret) and established Life After Cricket in 2001. He was recognised by the Olympic Ministry Medal in 2009 presented by Carl Lewis Olympian of the Century. He mentors young writers and has written 24 books, and enjoys writing. He is married to Delma, with four adult children and grand-children. Dr Tronson writes a daily article for Christian Today Australia (since 2008) and in November 2016 established Christian Today New Zealand.
