Kiwi young writer editor Irenie How from Christchurch is attending 'One Day in Melbourne' seminar on Christian media on Sat 3 June and meeting with the other young writer week editors over lunch.
Sophia Sinclair has returned from maternity leave as a New Zealand Panellist for Cycle 4 and Cycle 5.
Monday 5 June commences Cycle 5 as Christian Today New Zealand is being extended from 4 to 5 weeks as it then coincides with Christian Today Australia’s 5 week Cycles.
As Cycle 5 comes around, Kiwi young writer editor Irenie How is placing those Kiwi young writers being marked by the NZ Panellists in the first three weeks as they will be collated and sent to the NZ Panellists early. This is in order to determine which Kiwi young writers are offered air fare scholarships from New Zealand to the Sunshine Coast for the annual awards on the Sunshine Coast on 12 August.
Next year, 2018 the annual young writers conference is being held in New Zealand.

Press Service Internatinal's young writer ministry has an Awards Commission under way chaired by New Zealand Panellist Christina Tyson.
Christina Tyson has reported the response to the Awards Commission has been splendid - the usual October round robin email discussion by the Panellists - will now likewise be a Panellists Commission with a neutral chair. The Kiwi young writers will be welcome to have input into the Panellists Commission in October.

Three groups
The central focus of this young people ministry by being published in Christian Today is their voice being heard in the market place of ideas. These Kiwi young people comes from Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
There are two additional groups involved as part of Christian Today New Zealand, one group are those who have recently moved on and no longer producing fresh articles. Their articles published over some years in Christian Today Australia encouraged by NZ Panellist Bishop Brian Carrell are now being published in CTNZ as this is a - new audience, a new market place and a new country.
The other group - since Christian Today New Zealand commenced in February, are those original 2012 Kiwi young writer articles as the second article in CTNZ each day. This has worked amazingly well, boosting this fledging ministry – these articles are already published, but now given a new date.
Irenie How slots these young writers with publishing dates over the 5 week Cycle. It is quite a task. Rev Paul Cornish, Natalie Chu and Dr Mark Tronson PSI Australia get a copy of this list. Irenie uploads the articles each evening to the Christian Today New Zealand platform.

Jared Diprose of Auckland
Dr Mark Tronson is a Baptist minister (retired) who served as the Australian cricket team chaplain for 17 years (2000 ret) and established Life After Cricket in 2001. He was recognised by the Olympic Ministry Medal in 2009 presented by Carl Lewis Olympian of the Century. He mentors young writers and has written 24 books, and enjoys writing. He is married to Delma, with four adult children and grand-children. Dr Tronson writes a daily article for Christian Today Australia (since 2008) and in November 2016 established Christian Today New Zealand.
