Bridget Brenton (Brisbane), Tim Price (Gold Coast), Irenie How (Christchurch) young writers at One Day in Melbourne in June
Video producer Bridget Brenton has again set aside time to release the 40 sec video on up-coming young writers conference on the Sunshine Coast.
Press Service International in conjunction with Christian Today initiated the young writer program way back in 2009 with the very first annual conference held in 2013.
2017 conference is on Saturday 12 August at the Alexandra Park Conference Centre at Alexandra Head on the Sunshine Coast. The 40 sec video.
Conference data
The day conference kicks starts at 9.00am and runs through to 4.00pm whereupon the annual awards are presented.
Last year Tim Everton from Adelaide took out the $1000 Australian 'Basil Sellers' Award while the New Zealand 'Basil Sellers' Award was drawn - Matt Browning and Kara Greening each receiving $1000.
These awards are determined by sets of panellists who mark the young writer articles over the first 6 months of each year.
There is a $500 Consistency (2nd place) and a $500 Theology award along with the listing of each young writer's “best articles' of the 2017 marking period.
These 85 young writers are from Australia, New Zealand and 20 from around the world – England, USA, Canada, South Africa, West Indies, PNG, China, Mozambique …
