Five speakers at the launch of Christian Today New Zealand
'Christian Today New Zealand' (CTNZ) was launched last weekend with a fanfare of speeches to see this fresh addition to the CMCI come online (Christian Media Corporation International).
Irenie How – Kiwi young writer editor
Irenie How the Kiwi young writer editor spoke about her role which involves 'due date' reminders to the young writers, and then editing and corresponding with the young Kiwi writers followed by uploading to the CTNZ platform.
After the editing process is complete, Irenie How's places a publishing date on each article for the '4 week cycle' of articles.
At the same time - the Kiwi young writer articles are collated by Irenie How - and sent to Press Service International to be republished in Christian Today Australia – they are slotted in as their Week 5. This came about as Bishop Brian Carrell a New Zealand young writer panellist sought the young Kiwi's also be published in CT Australia so as to give CTNZ time to develop.
Press Service International (PSI) is the vehicle by which all the young writers are published in CT Aust and CTNZ. The young writer program was developed in 2009 and in 2012 New Zealand young writers were invited to join the program.
Now 2017, five years later PSI's Dr Mark Tronson's vision for a separate Christian Today New Zealand has come to fruition.

Natalie Chu, the Christian Today editor, cut the ribbon launching CTNZ after speaking to CMCI's numerous 'mast heads' reach around including Christian Post (US) and Christian Today UK (Britain) ….
Steven Huang IT for CMCI addressed the nature of getting fixes done in such an environment explaining some of the complexities.
Dr Mark Tronson said this was a culmination of five years development in seeing New Zealand gaining their own Christian News vehicle along with the Kiwi young writers. Dr Tronson said it has been a very pleasing outcome.

Launch CTNZ lunch
Dr Mark Tronson is a Baptist minister (retired) who served as the Australian cricket team chaplain for 17 years (2000 ret) and established Life After Cricket in 2001. He was recognised by the Olympic Ministry Medal in 2009 presented by Carl Lewis Olympian of the Century. He mentors young writers and has written 24 books, and enjoys writing. He is married to Delma, with four adult children and grand-children. Dr Tronson writes a daily article for Christian Today Australia (since 2008) and in November 2016 established Christian Today New Zealand.
